Whoa! The examinations are challenging! That’s what makes it fun, am I not correct?

I have received a hilarious issue of “The voice”, a newsletter of the “CEO club”. There seems to be a fanciful change of tittles of the class committee.

Class Chairperson -> Class CEO
Treasurer -> Financial Controller
Head of Management -> Operations Manager
Head of Functions -> Events Manager
Head of Welfare -> Well-Being Manager
Head of IT/AVA -> IT/AVA Manager

Clarine (vice CEO of 3e2, for those of you who don’t know) remarked to me in a hurt tone that they missed out vice-CEO in the list above.

I’d like to point out that on the front page; the opening message is signed off as “The CEO Club Exco Committee”. Since exco is an abbreviation of executive committee, the unabbreviated form would be “The CEO Club Executive Committee Committee”, which doesn’t sound very correct. Does it even sound correct at all? Hmm, most probably not.

We are a notoriously quiet class. We are
to have a capable, understanding, caring,
brilliant and simply wonderful form teacher,
Mr Ong. We are bombarded by many burdens,
homework not the least. Yes, the immense
amount of homework drives us a little crazy, but
we understand that it is beneficial nonetheless
