Hi comrades united!
Friday! This is the day that we should take a step back and relax for the hectic week as the weekend starts here. Talking about chilling out, I will listen to lots of music! ^_^
I don't listen to pop/rock/R&B/hip-hop/blues - these genres of music. However, I am aware of news of artists of them: Pop artists news spread far and wide easily.
I would prefer more to the hardcore/trance/scouse house/house/chillout music. Techno's out as it's one of the worst productions with meaningless beats from my experience and the masses have a misconception of trance music as techno. To listen to true techno, Carl Cox will be the one that will bring the legendary techno odyssey. Carl Cox's from London, GB, and is 6th in ranking for top DJs. The 1st position is taken by Tiësto, a renowned trance DJ worldwide, produced the hits "Lethal Industry", "Just Be", "Traffic", "Adagio For Strings", and many more to name.
Higher than heaven! Yes! It's hardcore. The sounds of hardcore progressing from acid house in the early 90s, "Manix - Feel Real Good", "Awesome 3 - Don't Go", and many more. Hardcore revolution started out by Helter Skelter with an illegal broadcast of tracks like "Loleatta Hollaway -Ride On Time" in the 80s.... Then, acid house kicked in, ferocious beats and faster tracks emerged in 1994 and the establishment of "Happy Hardcore" which started a whole new trend and makeover to hardcore. Hardcore originated from UK and my favourite artists are Breeze & Styles, Dougal & Gammer, Hixxy, Scott Brown, Cheeky Trax and Sy & Unknown. These are the upfront hardcore artists which bring in ultrasonic speed tracks with impressive piano backgrounds that puts energy in your mind and soul, somehow brings you to the peak!
Scouse house is another trademark of UK's sounds. The element of house is in the beats, the metallic clashes in the vibes. The scouse effect comes in as a variation from the basic genre house. This is one of my all-time favourite genre. The lyrics in some songs somehow brings up an uplifting atmosphere in daytime, a feel of an Ibiza summer vacation or just simply beach party. Remixes from Friday Night Posse, Hypasonic, Northstarz, Pez Tellet, KB Project and Dizzy Deejays are some to name for my favourites. Donking beats fall in scouse NRG, Alex K is somehow the artist to bring in his Klubbed Up mixes. These tracks can be obtain from Wigan Pier and Dirty Donkers Volumes, not of mainstream, must be ordered.
Trance is quite a big genre, the GateCrasher is the kind where it's home to Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Matt Darey, System F, Ferry Corsten and many more. This is the one which helps me in sleeping well, creating a trance-like ambient to put me to bed. The other kind which is Trance NRG whereby quite popular with younger generation, mixture of hardstyle and nasty electro, hard bass is the Hard Trance. Pulsedriver, Rocco, Tune Up!, Cascada (most should know)and Rob Mayth are a few to name. This helps keep me awake and stay up through the night. A good substitute for hardcore because if I play hardcore tracks in the middle of the wee hours of the morning, my whole family's going to be awake.
Time's running out and I've got to go soon. This is a brief review of what I listen and artists names that most can see on my MSN contact listing. ^_^
Au revoir and good luck for your final year examinations! I wish everyone all the best and have a good weekend. My 1 hour post ends here and hope to hear more from all of you too!
3e1 unites together forever and never to part! United!
PS: Happy Children's Day! Stay forever young guys! We're 15 years young! If anyone wants to try a sample of any of these genres of my tracks, don't hesitate to nudge me on msn. ^_^

I have just spent the last few minutes reading Cheng Hwee’s post. As always, I am amazed at his writing skills. (A note to Cheng Hwee) I think that issue wasn’t that trivial; well, I’m glad you’ve gotten over it (I hope I am not interfering).
Now, I will speak about the issue at hand. The examinations draw near. It is up to us to answer in an appropriate manner. We shall excel, as we have done before, as we will always do, for it is the 3e1 culture. I am extremely pleased to see that we are doing well, and I am sure we will continue to improve rapidly. Many of us study consistently. Now, I see an increase in the intensity of studying, and more study groups are forming. Although this heightened period of work generally happens only just before the examinations (it would be better if it was always like that), it is good that it has happened at all.
The O levels may appear to be distant and remote, but that is just an illusion. A year is a short time, especially when one takes into account the vast amount of work to do, knowledge to acquire, and examinations skills to develop. I hope that the enthusiasm and determination seen in recent weeks will continue to flourish even after this round of examinations.
Once again, I wish you, my fellow classmates, all the best for your examinations!

Hi! It's been a long time since I've posted here.
To start off with my post, I would like to thank George & SR(3e3) for his support in some trivial issues...Well, it's been a tough time these few days.
Many months have past and we're now moving on to the Final Year Examinations. Why's the timetable not distributed yet? The anticipation's killing me!!!
Why's the video not working? I've tried my Mozilla & Internet Explorer but it still can't load. Is it the Kbox video? If any of you can't see it from here, you can go to this URL to watch ^_^
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nURBH9Xztj0Note: Update your Shockwave Plugin for IE's ActiveX to upgrade to Adobe (Formally Macromedia/Shockwave) Player 9 for best performance.
Don't blame the video for being too blur, it's the voice that we should pay more attention to.
Time has past so fast and I would like to do some credits before the exams:I would like to thank Mr Ong for his guidance in Maths/A Maths, Mrs Wee for her exciting & brainstorming discussion sessions in Biology, Miss Chin for her encouragement & support in my MT, Miss Adlin for her essential assistance in English/Social Studies, Mdm Yeo for her funny jokes and creativity in her Physics lessons, Miss Chiang for her enlightening Chemistry lessons: The PSCMAZITLHCMSGP (remember it well ^^), and finally, Miss Goh! For her hardwork in printing notes to help us in easy revision in our Geography.
I'm quite interested in the Chalet, but not very sure whether it will coincide with the Computer course, so if those are not able to go, are they required to pay?
Recently, I've watched the Broadway Beng at the DBS Arts Centre. It's a stand-up comedy with musicals and GeTai-faves (the make-shift stage set-ups in HDB estates that have singers being paid per song sung on stage to commemorate the Exclusive 2x 7th Month Hungry Ghost Festival this year). This is Sebestian Tan's 2nd round and it's a success! It was one of the best that I've watched of Arts in Singapore. However, Broadway Beng is a local production and it aims to attract local audience because the show is mostly in Hokkien with minority of English (Only in Miss Saigon in 8 mins, opening performance, singing of one of Michael Jackson's sentimental songs "Band") Code-switching is very fast and he's able to be like a typical "Beng" and after a while, becomes a eloquent English native speaker. This is what I'm very impressed about him. The Hokkien parts of the show are entertaining and informative. At the start, he introduced Hokkien to the masses. The words that I've remembered very clearly are "Tiong Goon" which stands for "General"; "Pak Pok" which means "Applause". The best part of the show is when he translated the Underworld Leaders' all-time favourite song, "Ai Pia Cai Aeh Ea" the chorus whereby he translated into "70% from man, 30% from Heaven. In life must strive, must strive!" Also, He translated the National Day's popular song, "Stand Up For Singapore" into "Ka Kee Hor Singapore", with an upsized flag as backdrop. The part which fascinated me the most is when he re-enacts the activities of KTV lounges:
He began with saying that after days of work, it's time to "Tao Liang" as in chillout, the weather's so hot and explains to the point of saying that Sg's a "Pu Zhua Country" which means "Heaty Country". He explains what the people in KTV lounges do, using a gear-concept of describing.
Intro: Mamasan (40 & abv) comes into dark room and talks to the customer. Brings in the ladies with number tags.
1st Gear: The customer will then make his choices, then call upon numbers (Today, I feel really unlucky, I'll take no 4! [Anticipate] No. 8! Bring them on!)
2nd Gear: They'll play finger-guessing games or (for example: Ji Go Pak! Ji Go Pak!).
3rd Gear: The customer will be fed with peanuts and drink XO.
4th Gear: The customer will smell perfume, do some stretches and exercise.
5th Gear: Press accelerator and chiong!!!!!
This should give a rough idea about it. ^-^To add on to this topic, the latest mrbrown show! Yes! The 15th September (Friday) Wonders Of Singapore 3: Singapore Nightlife Tour
